Small works

These are some smaller studies I made in 2009. They are all oil on canvas board. The individual "Dylan" studies are part of an open ended series now comprising about fifteen paintings. Each one was painted over a laser print made from a scan of an earlier version in the series. I was less interested in likeness or semblance to Bob Dylan, than the way my own interest in the image changed over time. This is an open ended investigation which is pinned to the Dylan image and may explore both boredom and my future ideas about painting.
